A very complete course. I learned D5 and started using it in my workflow in less than two weeks!
I have been watching Oliver's tutorials since OU Graphics and it has always helped me, so for this reason I decided to try out the isometric masterclass and photoshop courses and without any doubt, it lived up to my expectations. It's packed with a lot of useful information and techniques. And I've been applying them to my drawing for a while now and I'm extremely happy with the workflow I've learnt from Upstairs.
I LOVED IT!!! Straight from Nigeria. I learnt a lot and it was well paced. I know in total it says it's 2 hours. it took me 5 days to complete due to work and a spice of laziness but nonetheless, eventually I was victorious. Off to practice what I have learnt but if you are looking for a sign on whether to take this course or not, I HOPE THIS ALL CAPS WRITING IS A SIGN BOLD ENOUGH FOR YOU!!!

Honestly, the course is packed! Maybe even a little too long for me at first haha. But I get it, there's a lot to learn in D5 and Post-production Photoshop! I appreciate that I can take it bit by bit though, which very helpful for someone with a busy schedule. The structure is nice, it doesn’t throw everything at you all at once, so I can always come back and pick up where I left off. That makes it way less overwhelming in the end. I'm really glad I signed up for this course!

The modules were well organized and easy to follow. The modules' videos weren't long and boring at all. I was excited to learn every stage. The portfolio examples shown were the cherry on top, providing us with a good balance between technical aspects of InDesign and what to expect when designing an architectural portfolio. I enjoyed it so much, such great content. It's worth the investment!
Good quality textures. It's the best starting library for a student or an architect that is building their own library. A lot of seamless high-quality textures for a good price.
It's an excellent course, it gives you the tools to make very good diagrams, and also the workflow and ethic allow you to make further diagrams in the future as you like, not just the ones that are in the course.
It really did exceed my expectations. The attention to various details is exactly what I wanted, and this course absolutely delivered that.
I never used Notion before and was kind of scared of it lol. But the onboarding walks you through everything. Very simple now that I got this basic knowledge. 10/10

The course was easy to follow. It might be intimidating at first because of the number of steps to achieve an improved effect on an object but it is worth it once you see the end product.

I loved this D5 Render course so much! I wasn’t expecting it to be so packed with information. It has everything you need to know about D5 Render. At first, I was pretty concerned about whether I would be able to learn the software properly. However, after just watching a few videos, I felt pretty confident. Now that I’ve finished the course, I can say I can create really good renders, especially interior renders. I didn’t know D5 would be this easy! Oliver explains everything in detail, and if you don’t understand something, you can simply ask him in the comments below. The post-production section adds the final touch to the render! It contains very good textures.
I have followed many InDesign courses but this one is the most complete on the market. The information provided and the method of communication is clear and direct. The examples shown are of great help in understanding how to approach the design of an architectural portfolio. The presence of subtitles in different languages is very useful to fully understand each concept. This course should be compulsory in every architecture school to have a clear idea of how to effectively show each project.
I'm a graphic designer learning to work in the context of architecture. Although I'm well educated in the ways of Illustrator and Photoshop, it was valuable to learn the workflows and make working with buildings and isometric diagrams less intimidating. Thank you!

This course is truly amazing. I have experienced many D5 courses, both online and physical, but none meet this quality. This course offers a deep understanding of D5 that even a beginner can catch up because of the clear and easy to understand explanation. Moreover, the post-production lessons are extremely helpful for those who have the basics of Photoshop but do not know where to start with architectural renderings.
I’m so glad I took this course! Before this, I was just trying to figure things out on my own with D5. Now I have way more control over the whole process, really learned a visualization workflow, and my renderings look much more professional. Plus, even though I had some Photoshop knowledge, the tips on post-production were game-changers for me. Oliver made everything easy to follow. Really recommend it!

As for myself, I really enjoyed the course. It was very well structured and understandable! I recommend doing at least one lesson each day... because of the sheer volume of information, you might forget something that was already mentioned, if you do not keep some consistency. Otherwise, it was great. I definitely recommend going through it!

Hi Oliver, thank you for the course it was incredibly insightful and gave me a fresh perspective on portfolio design! I do have one suggestion that could make it even more helpful: adding a session on how to prepare materials before starting the portfolio. While others might already have their work ready, as a student who’s new to this, it would be really valuable to learn how to refine technical drawings, renders, or visuals to align with the portfolio’s theme similar to how you explained adjusting an image’s color to fit a concept. It would also be great to get tips on selecting what to include, especially since you mentioned not putting every drawing, render, or representation into the portfolio. Guidance on deciding if new visuals are needed or adapting technical drawings and presentation boards into a cohesive portfolio would also be incredibly helpful. I think a session like this could provide practical insights, especially for those starting from scratch. Thanks again for such an inspiring and valuable course!

The Vegetation Pack is really good! The variety of plants, bushes, and trees is amazing, and the multiple styles give me so much flexibility for different types of projects. I liked that they even included a colored version which is ideal for collages, they add so much personality! I decided to go with the premium version and felt that it was well worth it, especially with the brush set for Photoshop. This pack has saved me hours of work!

I specifically enjoyed how for this tutorial Oliver stuck to the ins and outs of InDesign and how to use it properly. I think this strategy works well mainly because each person has a different story to tell through their portfolio. Therefore, the tutorial only helps you know how to navigate InDesign and it doesn't really hinder your perception of how to do your portfolio. Also, I think the examples help inspire the audience, especially as we can see Oliver annotate and discuss the mistakes and great points of each portfolio. The extra material is great and I feel that the extra lessons with him are super useful.

So, I’ve been using Blender for about 6 years now, and when I heard D5 Render works with it, I thought, “Why not give it a go?” The render engine, the colors, the whole ease-of-use thing they advertise... it all looked pretty sweet. But I knew I’d need to get up to speed, so I went looking for a solid course. That’s when I stumbled across "Learn Upstairs." Not gonna lie, it wasn’t cheap, but honestly? Worth every cent. Oliver explains everything so clearly that it just clicks. By the end of it, I felt like I could dive into D5 Render without a hitch. Massive thanks to Oliver. Brilliant course, mate! It was a nicely structured course to teach you a lot of things about post-production in Photoshop. Maybe some more experienced artists will find it easy, but it was a great course for users new to the Photoshop side of things, well explained all the way.

I bought the course knowing the bare minimum about Photoshop and Illustrator. Seeing a good workflow made the learning process much easier, not only from the software but from the concepts. You are never quite sure what to expect with these courses, as the quality varies wildly. I could not be happier with this one. I learned good tricks and tips that I didn't know about and probably would have never learned through this course. Taking this course has helped me improve my portfolio and portfolio-making skills as well. I went into this course already knowing InDesign yet I still learned new things. Good tips and in general gives a critical view of portfolios. It is overpriced, though, especially as it is aimed at students.
I had no experience in anything and this course gave me a huge baggage and many possibilities. I bought all the courses at once and this was the first one I took and I'm already loving it!
Everything about how to create architectural renders in Photoshop from scratch to a level where you can able to do anything. Most importantly one can learn how to categorise the layers which does not disturb the workflow. Totally loved it.

I really liked this course, he teaches you many tricks to create a good portfolio, but what I liked the most was the fact that he explains everything with examples of real portfolios. Another plus point was that English is not my first language, and yet I had no problem understanding everything and helping myself with subtitles. I also had a small problem that I couldn't open a file and he solved everything very quickly. Totally recommended!
The course is excellent, even for beginners like myself who have never used this engine before. Oliver thoroughly explains the tools and his process for creating renders. It also includes an explanation of how to use AI as an enhancer, a highly effective tool for adding more realism to images. Additionally, the course covers post-production techniques for both images and videos, which I found extremely useful.
