I loved this D5 Render course so much! I wasn’t expecting it to be so packed with information. It has everything you need to know about D5 Render. At first, I was pretty concerned about whether I would be able to learn the software properly. However, after just watching a few videos, I felt pretty confident. Now that I’ve finished the course, I can say I can create really good renders, especially interior renders. I didn’t know D5 would be this easy! Oliver explains everything in detail, and if you don’t understand something, you can simply ask him in the comments below. The post-production section adds the final touch to the render! I have been watching Oliver's tutorials since OU Graphics and it has always helped me, so for this reason I decided to try out the isometric masterclass and photoshop courses and without any doubt, it lived up to my expectations. It's an interesting and useful course for learning Photoshop and how to use it for architectural visualization.
I specifically enjoyed how for this tutorial Oliver stuck to the ins and outs of InDesign and how to use it properly. I think this strategy works well mainly because each person has a different story to tell through their portfolio. Therefore, the tutorial only helps you know how to navigate InDesign and it doesn't really hinder your perception of how to do your portfolio. Also, I think the examples help inspire the audience, especially as we can see Oliver annotate and discuss the mistakes and great points of each portfolio. The extra material is great and I feel that the extra lessons with him are super useful.
The course was great and really helpful, really appreciated the shortcuts that appear on the screen instead of just the audio as you can sometimes mishear things. Happy to have found that course when I'm still at the beginning of my visualization journey.
The course is excellent, even for beginners like myself who have never used this engine before. Oliver thoroughly explains the tools and his process for creating renders. It also includes an explanation of how to use AI as an enhancer, a highly effective tool for adding more realism to images. Additionally, the course covers post-production techniques for both images and videos, which I found extremely useful.
After these lessons, I feel confident to start my portfolio!

So, I’ve been using Blender for about 6 years now, and when I heard D5 Render works with it, I thought, “Why not give it a go?” The render engine, the colors, the whole ease-of-use thing they advertise... it all looked pretty sweet. But I knew I’d need to get up to speed, so I went looking for a solid course. That’s when I stumbled across "Learn Upstairs." Not gonna lie, it wasn’t cheap, but honestly? Worth every cent. Oliver explains everything so clearly that it just clicks. By the end of it, I felt like I could dive into D5 Render without a hitch. Massive thanks to Oliver. Brilliant course, mate! It’s been a pleasure!
Not a detailed course like the isometric course he has, but it teaches you how to learn from other portfolios and make wise design decisions. This course is more about portfolio making than learning to use InDesign, so for the most part, InDesign felt irrelevant.

This course was exactly what I was looking for to begin learning Photoshop! I am currently an architecture student and was not too good at Photoshop. Still, I feel a lot more confident in my ability to create renderings using Photoshop for class projects and my work-study!

It was a nicely structured course to teach you a lot of things about post-production in Photoshop. Maybe some more experienced artists will find it easy, but it was a great course for users new to the Photoshop side of things, well explained all the way.

There's always something new around the corner. You wouldn't know if you don't try and explore how different people work or navigate. I think Oliver has made some crazy effort to condense as much as he could in these courses without overburdening the students going through it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Isometric Diagram Masterclass. The course content was clear, well-organized, and provided a solid foundation for both beginners and more advanced learners. The step-by-step approach, combined with real-world examples, made the complex concepts much easier to grasp. I especially appreciated the focus on practical applications, as it helped me see how these skills could be applied in professional settings. The visual aids and resources were top-notch, but perhaps more interactive exercises or assessments could further reinforce the concepts. Overall, this masterclass has significantly improved my understanding of isometric diagrams, and I look forward to more courses from Learn Upstairs!

The course was easy to follow. It might be intimidating at first because of the number of steps to achieve an improved effect on an object but it is worth it once you see the end product.
This course is truly amazing. I have experienced many D5 courses, both online and physical, but none meet this quality. This course offers a deep understanding of D5 that even a beginner can catch up because of the clear and easy to understand explanation. Moreover, the post-production lessons are extremely helpful for those who have the basics of Photoshop but do not know where to start with architectural renderings.
Honestly, the course is packed! Maybe even a little too long for me at first haha. But I get it, there's a lot to learn in D5 and Post-production Photoshop! I appreciate that I can take it bit by bit though, which very helpful for someone with a busy schedule. The structure is nice, it doesn’t throw everything at you all at once, so I can always come back and pick up where I left off. That makes it way less overwhelming in the end. I'm really glad I signed up for this course!

In my opinion, it was well structured, almost all the points you tackled were explained thoroughly, and your pace was appropriate for absolute beginners (the video playback speed can be increased if people want a faster pace which is a nice feature). The course tackled the most famous types of diagrams and gave ample inspiration sources which is also a very good point.

Once bought, it is very useful! Your constant Google searches for items in plan view don't have to happen anymore. Everything you could want is in an organized file, ready to be edited, copied, and pasted into your work. The vegetation inside of this pack is also beautiful and minimal, but extremely effective.
The Vegetation Pack is really good! The variety of plants, bushes, and trees is amazing, and the multiple styles give me so much flexibility for different types of projects. I liked that they even included a colored version which is ideal for collages, they add so much personality! I decided to go with the premium version and felt that it was well worth it, especially with the brush set for Photoshop. This pack has saved me hours of work!

The Urban Drawing Bundle is incredible for any type of Isometric drawing, it's all you need in terms of assets to populate a scene without loosing too much time. I prefer to use it directly from Illustrator so I have more control over the asset's final look. Highly recommend it!

A wonderful course. Everything is clear and understandable. All the necessary techniques for creating plans and adjusting them are shown. In my opinion, you need minimal knowledge of Photoshop to complete this coursea.
As for myself, I really enjoyed the course. It was very well structured and understandable! I recommend doing at least one lesson each day... because of the sheer volume of information, you might forget something that was already mentioned, if you do not keep some consistency. Otherwise, it was great. I definitely recommend going through it!

I do have one suggestion that could make it even more helpful: adding a session on how to prepare materials before starting the portfolio. While others might already have their work ready, as a student who’s new to this, it would be really valuable to learn how to refine technical drawings, renders, or visuals to align with the portfolio’s theme similar to how you explained adjusting an image’s color to fit a concept. It would also be great to get tips on selecting what to include, especially since you mentioned not putting every drawing, render, or representation into the portfolio. Guidance on deciding if new visuals are needed or adapting technical drawings and presentation boards into a cohesive portfolio would also be incredibly helpful. I think a session like this could provide practical insights, especially for those starting from scratch. Thanks again for such an inspiring and valuable course!

I like how the majority of the videos in each module are broken down into consumable information and prepare you for creating your portfolio. I also appreciate the examples of others' work in portfolios and on different styles to explore. I would like to emphasize starting your portfolio after watching a couple of videos in the module, since that is what I did every time I completed one of them. As a beginner on starting my architecture portfolio, I understood more than when I first began the course and especially from my four years in university, so it's well worth it!
